Presently: Lab manager of Andy Sewell’s lab in the school of medicine, Cardiff University.
2003-2009: Lab Technician at Cardiff University School of Biosciences. Investigating the potential for cell replacement therapies in Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, and Stroke.
1999-2003: Studied Neuroscience at Cardiff University. During this time I spent one year in a lab studying the ontogeny of medium spiny neurones in the striatum.
My current projects include; 1) investigating the structural and biophysical nature of HIV immune escape from T-cells, 2) T-cell activation in cancer and infectious diseases.
These projects are intended to further the development of T-cell based vaccines and other T-cell therapies.
