September 2012-July 2013: Master of Science with Distinction in Chronic Disease and Inflammation at the University of Leicester.

“Development of an in vitro drug model for the study of tuberculosis.”

Developing a drug model for the study of tuberculosis using Mycobacterium marinum and MM6 (human) and J774 (murine) macrophage cell lines to create in vitro granulomas that could be targeted for drug testing. In the long term, these structures could be used for rapid drug screening to aid the development of creating new treatments for tuberculosis.
